Celebrate the Olympics – Belgique style!

You are invited…

The time?  From long before the fanfare to mark the start of the Olympic opening ceremony, all the way through the Games themselves and right up to the moment the final light is switched off after the closing ceremony and silence falls over the stadium.

The place?  Belgium House, at Historic Middle Temple Hall, an oasis in the heart of London’s Legal district, overlooking the Thames - conveniently situated between Temple and Blackfriars stations, and just a short walk from City Thameslink.

Where better to celebrate the Olympics in the company of like-minded fellow spectators, cheering on our athletes, taking in the live entertainment and playing interactive games …

… and, of course, sampling the range of culinary delights that only Belgique can offer?

While following all the Olympic action up on the big screen in the Belgique Main Hall, you could be enjoying an oyster or three, a shrimp cocktail or perhaps some lobster soup in the Wine and Oyster Bar there - and maybe even meeting some of the very recognizable former Olympic stars dropping by.

When all the sporting excitement gets too much to take, you could always relax on the lawn of Middle Temple Hall’s perfectly manicured garden.

There you could sip a crisp Stella Artois, or a Hoegaarden beer with its complex melange of flavours, or even a smooth strong Leffe, each of them just perfect to accompany any of the traditional Belgian snacks available nearby - from a simple chips and sauce, to croquette crevettes ... or even to barbeque delights - from beef to salmon, Belgian style!

But for something a little lighter, there's always the Breughel Buffet nearby, offering baguettes overflowing with Belgian delights from de Beauvoorde Ham to Brugge Jong cheese - and much more.

And pastries.  How could there not be pastries?  And what better way of snacking while watching your favourite athletes than with a tea or coffee plus a pastry … or a slice of pear and chocolate cake ... or one of Belgium’s famous waffles?

A token system will be in effect, and no cash can be accepted as payment. Tokens for Belgium House can be ordered on our online store and collected at the main entrance of Begium House.

See you there!
