Name the Cake!

Those of you who keep us company over on our Facebook page and enjoy our up to date news and offers will have spotted that we recently found ourselves with something of a dilemma.


Our newest celebration cake, the brainchild of our founder and owner, Igor Bekaert, has until now been nameless. Struggling to find the right name we put the question to our fabulous Facebook friends and offered a £10 Belgique voucher for the person who came up with our favourite name. There were some truly fantastic entries, however there could only be one winner so after much deliberation we have chosen the name...

Raspberry Richesse!

Huge thanks to our winner Loraine Midda who has already been contacted regarding claiming her prize. We wonder if she’ll spend it on her namesake.



The Raspberry Richesse (the name really does just roll off the tongue, doesn’t it?), contains a light and fluffy sponge which has been sprinkled with sherry syrup and layered up with fresh cream and a delicious raspberry compote. The cake is decorated with delicate pink meringue fingers, homemade Belgian ganache and of course fresh raspberries and assorted fruits of the forest.



This cake just oozes character and looks and tastes as good as it sounds. This autumn why not choose our Raspberry Richesse for your indoor events and parties and wow the guests? A sophisticated cake such as this one which is handmade by our master bakers who use only the freshest and best quality ingredients for their creations will of course be the talking point for weeks to come.
